Artwork specs

Send files that meet these and your job runs clean the first time. Miss one and we'll catch it, but it costs you a day.

File types

PDF (preferred), AI, EPS or PSD. High-res PNG and JPG work for simple jobs.

Resolution

300 dpi at final size for anything handheld. Banners, tents and backdrops can run 100–150 dpi at full size because they're seen from further away.

Color

CMYK, not RGB. If an exact brand color matters, give us the Pantone or hex and we'll match as close as the process allows.

Bleed

0.125" on all sides for cards, postcards and flyers. 2" pole pockets or hem allowance on large format that wraps or hangs.

Safe zone

Keep text and logos 0.25" inside the trim line.

Fonts

Outline or embed them. If we can't render your font, we can't print your file.

Black

Rich black (C60 M40 Y40 K100) for big solid areas, plain K100 for small text.

Don't have any of that? That's normal, and it's half of what we do. We'll quote design with your order, and it costs less when it's bundled with a shoot.

Proofs

Nothing prints until you've seen it and said yes in writing.

• A digital proof on every custom job. A PDF showing exactly what runs, with trim and bleed marks where they matter.
• We check before you do. Every file is reviewed for resolution, color mode, bleed and fonts first.
• Your approval starts the clock. Turnaround times count from proof approval, not from when you order.
• Changes after approval mean a new proof and a reset clock. If it already ran, it's a new job.

Turnarounds

Production time after proof approval. Shipping is on top of this.

Hard deadline? Say so at checkout. We'll tell you straight whether it's doable, and what rush costs, before you commit.

Shipping & pickup

• Shipping is free anywhere in the US. Orders ship straight from production to the address you give at checkout.
• Shipping to an event? Put the venue address at checkout and the date it has to land in the "need it by" box.
• Local pickup or delivery around Nashua, Litchfield, Pelham and Windham: ask, and add a note at checkout.
• Tracking goes out by email the day it ships, and shows on your order page.

Order terms

What you're agreeing to when you place an order.

• You pay at checkout. Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on a secure Stripe page. Rather pay by check or ACH? Choose "request an invoice" instead.
• Change your mind before you approve the proof and we refund you in full. Once you approve, it goes to print.
• Prices cover print and shipping at the listed spec. Design and rush work are separate and quoted before you approve.
• Custom print can't be returned. Once your artwork runs it's yours, which is why we proof everything first.
• If we get it wrong, we reprint it. Wrong size, wrong color against the approved proof, damaged in transit or defective: tell us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we fix it at no cost.
• If the approved proof had the mistake, we'll still help with a discounted reprint.
• Color matching is close, not perfect. Screens are backlit and ink isn't. If a Pantone match is critical, tell us up front.
• You own your artwork. We keep production files so reorders are easy, and never use your work without asking.
• You confirm you have the right to print what you send. We won't knowingly reproduce someone else's trademark or copyrighted work.

Questions

Can I get a sample first?

On most flat items, yes, ask for a single-piece quote. Tents and A-frames don't have sample runs, so we'll send photos of similar jobs.

Can you match a color I already have printed?

Send the piece or the Pantone number. We'll get as close as the process allows and show you a proof.

What if my file is low resolution?

We tell you before printing. Sometimes it's fine at viewing distance; sometimes we quote a rebuild.

Can you ship straight to my event?

Yes. Give us the venue and the date it has to land and we schedule backwards from there.

Bigger quantities than the store lists?

Always. Call for a custom quote, usually at a better price per piece.
